Not another one

Everyone knows that lots of bbies are self-soothers. Both of my daughters hated "pacies." They both eventually found their thumbs, and that's how they fall asleep. However, Kenzie prefers her right thumb, and Katie favors her left. I know each kid is an individual, but I thought that fact was interesting. The one downside to thumbsucking is that you can take "pacies" away, but you can't take a thumb away.

  1. Teach my baby to self-soothe! She cannot calm down without Mama, and getting her to sleep is more of a challenge than it ought to be at 10 months. I didn't have that problem with either of my first two. Gabi sucked two fingers, but she stopped on her own around age 3. Bella sucked her thumb and (at age 3 now) still does when she's tired. I'm hoping she stops on her own... but I'm also wishing that Kati would start.
